CBI Campus Tournament, 1/21/02

Results: Was Ist Das Rockers
(Colby Burnett, Robert Flaxman, Mike Henninger, Jan Zasowski)

There are a lot of reasons that CBI sucks.
Variable point bonuses, ridiculous questions that often have giveaways that put NA-cuties to absolute shame, and the inevitable prominence at Regionals of the Team That Has No Right to Beat You.  However, by far the worst of all these things is the CBI campus tournament.
You can't simply enter like NAQT or ACF or TRASH.  You have to hold a tournament open to all comers on your campus, with the team that wins moving on to Regionals.  Now, the Was Ist Das Rockers have won nine in a row (whether this is "all nine" I don't know) counting, now, this year, but I'm sure there are occasionally times when some random team wins.
Fortunately that didn't happen this year.  The "results" are below because I'm a huge nerd, but suffice it to say that this was clearly a waste of everyone's time.
    Favorite Tossup:
This was a short little tournament, so there weren't many.  I guess it would be Deion Sanders.
Stupidest Tossup I Got: This should be a new category for CBI only.  In this case it would be the Spider-Man tossup, where they talked about the website for a movie that was going to be released in May 2002 and then said "no pun intended."  To paraphrase Bill Simmons, "Yup... these are the questions."
